Leo grew up in a family that had businesses in the farming and health industries. Holding `multiple certificates across several industries, he worked as an auditor along the East Coast of Australia. After gaining a degree in Environmental Science, he relocated to the West Coast. He then held senior executive roles in Human Resources and Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management functions in several multinational companies.

In developing the Ashburton Assurance system, Leo drew on, not only his professional qualifications, but also an acute and practical understanding of how a business operates. From his family and professional background, he understood the peace of mind and assurance a business leader gains from having a certified management system(s) that is reliable, transparent and adding value to a business.

Leo’s commercial experience was across numerous industry sectors including:

• Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

He was also an accomplished Lead Food Safety (HACCP) Systems auditor and had conducted statutory compliance audits for government authorities.

Leo's experience provided him with a valuable insight into how certified management systems can deliver significant savings and outcomes for businesses.

Sadly, after establishing Ashburton Assurance Australasia in 2016, Leo passed away in 2019.
